Rick Parry

CHAIRMAN & CEO

Chariman of Albi Investment Group Services (AIGS) and a veteran of the South African IT industry.

Rick's IT Industry experience dates back to 1977, and the Software Industry to 1995. In 1998 he became responsible for the Distribution and Support of Progress Software in Sub Saharan Africa. Following a restructuring of Progress's worldwide operations in early 2010, Rick formed Albi Investment Group Services (AIGS) to provide continuity of operation for Progress as their Third Party Distributor. Yellowfin was added to the AIGS stable in October 2012.

In addition to his role as Chairman of AIGS, Rick is also CEO of Delight@Work.

Despite the years of experience in a technology industry, Rick’s passion is all about people, and how to get the best from them. “Delight@Work” stems from this passion – “life is not a dress rehearsal, so live every day and have fun. If you are not doing something that is fun and about which you are passionate, then change what you are doing!”

Rick’s other “passion” is the delivery of value and this is what keeps him involved in the IT Industry. “The Post Y2K period has been the most exciting period for me, since before then IT delivered very little quantifiable and sustainable value! Since the turn of this century we have seen a remarkable shift as our customers become better informed and more demanding. If we can’t deliver demonstrable value today we may as well not bother to get out of bed in the morning!”
