"She LovesData – Woman in IT" workshop
(Formally known as Data Girls)
With women accounting for only 25% of all IT jobs, #SheLovesData aims to even the playing fields in a traditionally male-dominated environment by providing data analytics and Business Intelligence training to women, whilst simultaneously addressing the constant technology skills shortage.
Formerly known as Data Girls, #SheLovesData was originally started in the Czech Republic by Czechitas and, to date, has trained no fewer than 2,000 women.
Now, for the first time in South Africa:
Course Content
- An introduction to the logical thinking behind data analytics and business intelligence
- An overview of data analytics infrastructure and best practices
- Hands-on case study
- Build your own analytics solution, using real data and business problems
- Create a basic BI project using all the presented tools
- Build your first reports and dashboards
- Learn how ETL works and how to load data to Yellowfin (or any other BI tool)
- Prepare the final visualisation
- Guidance and support from experienced data analysts and data architects
Prerequisites
- Open to all women
- No formal prerequisites, tailored to complete novices
- No knowledge of analytics or programming skills required
Excluded: laptop and charger (essential)
