This year’s PUG Challenge EMEA took place in beautiful Prague from 18 – 20 September. With over 40 speakers, 60+ breakout sessions and 8 immersive workshops, it was a highly informative and productive few days.
South Africa was well represented with no fewer than five South African speakers on the agenda and 20+ members from our local Progress community in attendance.
Highlights included the keynote address by John Ashworth, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Application & Data Platform at Progress Software, who shared his insights and vision for the future of OpenEdge technology, offering a unique perspective on the latest advancements and trends. This was closely followed by the presentation, ‘The Future of OpenEdge, i.e., Roadmap, Enhancements, Key Features and Product Strategies’. A key message throughout the event was Progress’ focus on moving towards interaction and integration with ‘Generative AI’.
Fun evening events and a bit of sightseeing rounded off a very worthwhile event.
And last, but not least, well done to our very own Annelien de Jager for further flying the SA flag by taking home the best dressed award in the circus-themed gala party.
Our thanks to all our local partners and customers who were able to attend.
